Programming Services - Web Programming Development

Programming Services consists of the following stages:

  • Test Plan
  • Test Suite
  • Test Script
  • Unit Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Functionality Testing
  • Installation Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Acceptance Testing
  • Error Tracking & Reporting

Test Plan

First step in the QA process is the Test plan. The software project test plan is a document that describes the objectives, scope, approach, and focus of a software testing effort. Each test plan provides a plan for verification by testing the software.

Test Suite

Test Suite is a collection of test cases. It may also contain more detailed instructions or goals for each collection of test cases. The tester identifies the system configuration used during testing.

Test Script

Part of the functionality of a software system is tested with the help of a test script, or a test case.

Unit Testing

The programmer tests particular functions or code modules by using Unit Testing.

Integration Testing

Integration Testing of combined parts of an application is done to determine if they function together correctly. This is especially relevant to client/server and distributed systems.

Functionality Testing

A specific input produces an output (result), and the output is checked against a pre-specified expected result.

Installation Testing

After the Functionality Testing, Installation Testing is done to check if the application can be installed correctly on various different types of browsers and operating systems.

Regression Testing

After fixes or modifications of the software or its environment are done, it is subjected to Re-testing or Regression Testing.

Acceptance Testing

A series of simple tests are performed for the acceptance tests. Only after these test cases are completed successfully, the software is accepted into test.

Error Tracking & Reporting

All errors and suspected errors found during testing are input by each tester to the Functional Defect Tracking (FDT) Document. The error tracking system is managed by Quality Strategy. Any critical problems likely to affect the end date for testing is reported immediately to the Quality Web Development Company. Daily metrics is generated, detailing the testing progress for a particular day. The report includes bug classification, status and summary description.
